Happy Birthday Mrs. O

On her 48th birthday, the First Lady attended a White House event to celebrate the 2011 World Series champions, the St. Louis Cardinals.

On the fashion front: A L'Wren Scott lace cardigan, the famed Alaia belt and an Erickson Beamon pin from the 2008 Democratic National Convention.

Michelle Obama respects her husband without losing herself. Regis Philbin sked her if Obama lies in bed at night complaining about the country’s problems. “He knows better than to talk about it in bed,” she answered.

I would also like to celebrate Michelle Obama's birthday with this video documentary I made about her life. She is truly an inspiration to young women such as myself.

Hope Mrs. O had a BEAUTIFUL B-Day and those a-holes throwing smokebombs at the White House didn't ruin it!!

The bit with PBO and Mrs. O regarding the bat was SUPER CUTE!

Just stunning. I really love this....I'm not a cardy person myself but Mrs. O always makes them look great and this one is particularly lovely. Love that she loves her Alaia belt. She is one radiant and youthful woman. I sent birthday wishes on the White House page....I hope she has a wonderful day.

Looks like FLOTUS is shifting into campaign mode, strategically re-introducing signature accessories from the 2008 campaign trail, such as the Alaia belt, Beamon pin and (I think) the pin she wore at the MLK concert. Love it! I'm IN!!

I'm really liking the coral-colored lipstick.

Say, Winnie jeans--I don't think that is the same pin. Seems like the one he gave her was all diamondy (made up a word). This one is beautiful too, I may be wrong, but this one is more black and white--maybe? It sure is a beautifully put together outfit.

Excellent video! Aim for the best colleges! You deserve them and those schools need students like you. I will be happy to move in order to have the opportunity to vote for you someday. If you are the future, the future is shining brightly.
Thank you.

They really are a delicious pair! She was so playful with The POTUS when so took her bat. I've looked at that clip a couple of times and it warms my heart. I hope our Michelle had a wonderful birthday!

Happy Birthday Mrs. Obama. I hope we can share four more with you as our Nation's First Lady.
BYW, on a fashion note--funny how the Alaia belt used to look sooo big, and now the width is commonplace--the rest of the fashion world has caught up to Mrs. O!

Sarah!

Thanks so much for this film - it's great, and you, like Michelle and Barack, have a lovely looking family (parents, spouse, children). Your love for each other shines through!

Happy Birthday Mrs. O!

If ever her wardrobe reaches the auction block, her "famed Alaia belt" will be the item I raise my paddle/nod for.

Happy Birth-Day Mrs. O! You're an awesome First Lady and an amazing person as well!

The rest of the world has not really caught up with Mrs O with regard to belts - wide belts were everywhere for at least three years before she started doing it. It was only on here that we heard a lot of shock horror oh-lordy-a-wide-belt-how-could-she opinions. Maybe it just hadn't hit some parts of America.

This is the first time I've liked this cardigan, and it looks very pretty here.

Again, I wish our lovely First Lady a very Happy Birthday.

I can't get over our handsome President wowing. wooing, and singing to the crowd on Thursday night at the historic Apollo Theatre in NYC! How cool was that!

Can anybody tell me about the beautiful grey tie he was wearing? I would love to purchase that tie for my handsome husband.

Peace.
