Our First Lady exudes beauty and confidence. God bless our President and First Lady! Obama 2012
Mrs. O looks GORGEOUS!
Beautiful Hair & Flawless Makeup!
Mrs. O looks so young & healthy...
My favorite cover ever!
-Obama 2012
Very classy and beautiful inside out, I Love it
Great article on FLOTUS' mentoring program. She truly knows how to give back.
Mrs.O appears to be wearing the J. Crew Tippi sweater. The color is very nice on her.
She doesn't look a day over 30 and yet she's 48... wow!
She looks 10 yrs younger due to all the photoshopping and airbrushing!
Not a natural picture when compared to other photos taken when she is not on a cover of a magazine. I guess all magazines do this but I'm not going to say how gorgeous she looks because it's not really her. I like her better with the laugh lines, natural wrinkles and skinny eyebrows. Even her jaw line looks different.
Make-up is a wonderful thing....
A real inspiration. Obamas 2012!
The ever pretty and lovely Mrs.O. OBAMA 2012!
Flawless makeup, young & healthy! You would be too if your picture was touched up as much as this one. Come on ladies, Michelle Obama is beautiful on her own merits, this picture has been "doctored" to help sell the magazine. So lets not have any comments on how flawless her makeup is! It's flawless because her natural wrinkles and skin tone have been airbrushed.
The 2009 vogue cover, the Glamour cover and this More cover are the best.
She is a beautiful and accomplished woman in her own right. Upon close inspection, the picture looks as if a stand in was used. I wonder what Mrs. O thinks about it?
Just read the article about the mentoring program. This is an awesome idea. Young kids need to see opportunities in their lives and what a better role model to lead the way.
I'm sitting back waiting for the "Firing Squad" to attack Ann. ...Get her! *lol*
Yikes. I had to look twice to see who that was, guess she had no input.
Mrs. Obama looks wonderful in this photo. She wears color like no one else. And I love her natural makeup.
Simply Beautiful!!!
Mrs. O makes me smile...
Obama - 2012
The picture in the white cardigan is quite nice and natural looking. She doesnt really need to be airbrushed but the magazines do that stuff. Take a look at the First Lady's hands though, in all her pictures she has the most beautiful hands.
Our First Lady is Beautiful! She looks AMAZING
Inside and out!
absolutely beautiful photo of the First Lady on More! I am so excited because I subscribe to this magazine and can't wait for my copy to arrive in the mail. She is hands down the best First Lady we have ever had. Certainly my favorite...so refreshing to have someone who is young, vibrant, a young mom and fashionista. It's the best!
wow, I am kind of shocked at some of the catty, snarky comments on here...not the usual for Mrs. O readers. Jealous much? Our First Lady always looks flawless with or without retouching....she looks JUST this glamorous in any of the photos of her at the State Dinners, hello, the BET awards...she's stunning and she actually DOES have fantastic skin and yes she does look ten years younger than her 48 years. In real life if she was in your neighborhood, you would think she was 38, running around with her little girls. She has great skin, is in great shape and just looks radiant. Is a magazine cover going to be a little more glamorous? Well, duh. It's expected...a little wind machine, makeup, great lighting, a little retouching...every professional photo has this done, so why the snark? It's a lovely photo of a lovely woman. Period.
I agree with Ann and several others - this picture is excessively photoshopped and
a disservice to our exceptional First Lady, her natural beauty, and her commitment
to encourage girls to value their true selves, inside and out.
Well, I am going to say how gorgeous she looks because regardless of what some editor or art department does with her photos (that's totally out of her, or anyone other person's control) we know what she looks like UP CLOSE & PERSONAL! I won't act as if I'm seeing this woman for the first time and have not a clue as to what she looks like prior to this magazine cover. I don't know why they are so heavy handed with the airbrushing and photo-shopping on covers. They even do it to child actors and models, go figure. I guess it's to sell more magazines, no pun intended.
And yes, I confess, make-up is a beautiful thing. I wear it proudly and am thankful for it each and everytime I put it on! I look and feel better when I wear it, as do most women. Just as with our Michelle, it enhances what you have on the outside, but it also gives you a boost inside when you look nice. So what she has flawless hair, make-up, young and healthy looking skin on the cover....does she not have them when we see her in other scenarios? Heck, we've seen her look 10 years younger than her actual age just when she walks across The Whitehouse lawn. You want to see wrinlkes and frown lines? Well, I would not hold my breath waiting for a magazine cover to show them to me. I'd look in the mirror first.
If I get a chance, I'll pick up the magazine today and read the article.
@ Char in Detroit,
I couldn't have said it better myself :0)
Mrs. O is a beautiful and inspirational woman; I can't wait to see her again on the 2012 campaign! Any event within 300 miles of driving, I'm there!
Glad to have you back Marcus Perry;)
You're bad, Marcus!
Let me give you all a reality check. I worked in magazine publishing for 35 years and covers have always been fixed. Do you think that Liz Taylor or Audrey Hepburn or Beyonce or Christie Brinkley were/are really that flawless. Come on! Even the lighting on the 'red carpet' is intended to hide flaws. When I was retiring Photoshop was just coming in so a piece of software could do what legions of us had to do. Look at Oprah's O covers. Please. Now are all the ladies I mentioned above beautiful, yes, they were/are and Michelle Obama is also lovely with flawless skin; we've all seen real pics of her. So understand that mag covers are 'shopped' and that look that readers try so hard to attain is NOT reality. That is why we keep buying that beauty cream in the hope that one day we will look like the model in the photo instead of accepting our natural beauty and eating our peas.
At least this time they didn't 'shop' her hairline.
She looks gorgeous and so young. I personally love the more natural eyebrow and of course she wears jewel tones beautifully.
Flawless makeup? More like flawless Photoshop. No, actually more like preposterous, over-the-top, beyond believable, are you serious Photoshop.
This is ridiculous - just let her be herself already.
Yes, Mrs. O always looks youthful, flawless and beautiful with or without
Photoshop. I would venture to say, however, that the wisdom in her eyes
gives her away. I mean that as a compliment ;)
Gorgeous cover of our stunningly beautiful first lady. She is such a natural beauty.
@ CID, IT'S REAL!!!! ;-)
Smile, Hair and Makeup.... all flawless
This may be the loveliest photo ever of our First Lady!
Mrs. O is 360 stunning. I'm so proud and excited for her every day.
CANNOT wait for tonight's SOTU to see what she will be wearing!!!! I love her guest list. And no matter what she's wearing, I know she will be BEAMING.

Haven't posted here in a very long time ... but keep up with the blog via Google Reader ... I seem to enjoy the blog more without seeing all the negative comments all the time. Love the shade on red on her ... she really has been looking great these past couple of months - moreso than usual.
Great Job Mrs. T ... your blog is still my fav.
Love the cover and most importantly the focus on the mentoring program.
@ Ann, Gaylev, et.al.
You ladies seem so obsessed with this photoshop nonesense that you totally missed the purpose of the First Lady's presence on the cover in the first place. As another informed reader stated, all magazine covers are touched up (photoshopped, if you prefer) in some way or another. At this point it's a nonissue. So I suggest that you turn the page and read the article, you may learn something and understand finally what this First Lady is all about. Yes, this blog is about the First Lady's style, but her influence goes far beyond what she wears. It's also about what she does. So it should behoove all of us to spend as much time discussing or commenting on how she's giving back by helping and mentoring others instead of indulging in trivialities. Maybe we can begin (if we're not already doing so) to incorporate some of her worthwhile activities into our daily lives.
