A Fond Farewell

After much thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to end the Mrs. O blog. Over the past year, my personal and professional circumstances have changed such that I cannot devote the same time and attention to the blog that I once could. I continue to have the utmost admiration for Mrs. Obama - for her style and so much more.
From an idea sparked by Michelle Obama's presence at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, we grew into a vibrant, diverse community with a common interest. The information sharing and exchange of opinions over the past 5-1/2 years has been fun, inspiring, sometimes a bit controversial - but always in the spirit of good, open dialogue. Thank you all for your support and readership over the years.

So sorry to see this blog has been discontinued! For several years I checked (and enjoyed) it daily, for new entries and other reader comments. I've been checking periodically since the announcement to end, hoping for an occasional catch-up sort of post. Thank you for the many good years of fun and style. What a fabulous FLOTUS we have!! What can we say. If there was ever a more loving or respectful blog about someone, I don't know about it. Your blog spoke volumes about the person you are, your values and your determination. Nothing lasts forever and life is dynamic (thank the Lord) so your time doing this blog has expired. On to other challenges, after all life affords us that. We love your "work" and appreciate the elegance and taste that this blog brought to one of our [formerly] enduring (but might be changing due to changing dynamics :o)) institutions--that of The First Lady of the United States. Best wishes for your continued success in whatever challenge you have chosen to take on. There is no question that you will elevate it to the same high level.

Sad to have come too late to find this now closed blog devoted to such a wonderful woman as Mrs Obama. I very much love and appreciate Mrs Obama, and recently find myself scouring the Internet obsessed with getting to know her more. Perhaps as others have hoped, this blog will return?
