Tracy Reese Repeat

It's been a quiet week or two for Mrs. O in terms of official events and appearances. Today the First Lady returned to the public eye, attending her daughter Sasha's dance recital at the Strathmore Music Center in Bethesda, Maryland. For the event, Mrs. O wore an Indigo Floral Jersey Dress by Tracy Reese, first seen in April 2010, here, and again in June 2010, here. Mustard hued flats, gold hoop earrings and a cream clutch completed the summer look.

This is one of my favorite dresses of hers, so happy to see it again. I am looking forward to the First Family's overseas trip, hopefully lots of great fashion ahead of us!

Great to see this pretty dress again and even better to move on from Oscar.

But Mrs. T, Obama Diary has some shots of the FLOTUS in Ireland. She is wearing a caramel flyaway vest. Not sure I like it, but I hope you can tell us about it.

Love this dress. The color is perfect for a beautiful spring/summer day and works well with her skin tone.

Looking good every time. I think when choosing clothes we should act the part. Life is a stage. This is a very versatile style and for a dance recital for her daughter, this is a perfect choice. It’s fun, colourful, lots of movement, shows off her girlish well toned figure and just perfect for the occasion. AMAZING MULTI-PURPOSE dress. (seems to be wrinkle-free as well)

Day to evening, dress up or down, add a different shoe, purse etc. etc. It’s no wonder the First Lady would repeat it again and again. I would love to know something about her thought pattern in choosing styles – why she decides to pick certain outfits for different events………..just saying…….

I bought this dress when Mrs.O first wore it, but sadly it was too short for me. I wish I could have accessed additional fabric to lengthen it, as I think she did. It is a beautiful dress, well made, and looks so good on her! I'll just have to channel her in a different way. *sigh*
