NATO Spouses in Chicago

As NATO leaders gathered in Chicago, Illinois yesterday, the First Lady hosted spouses for a special event at the Gary Comer Youth Center on the South Side. For the event, Mrs. O wore a cream hued dress with pleat and seam detailing at the neckline. For her photo with Anne-Mette Rasmussen, wife of NATO Secretary General Fogh Rasmussen, Mrs. O donned a coordinating jacket.
Earlier in the weekend, as the President and First Lady arrived in Chicago on Saturday evening, the couple was greeted by Mayor Rahm Emanuel and his wife Amy Rule. For travel, Mrs. O wore an olive hued wrap top paired with a printed skirt.
Update: For the Gary Comer Youth Center event, Mrs. O wore a Zac Posen dress and jacket, confirmed by the designer via Twitter. Miguel Ases earrings completed the look. Arriving in Chicago, Mrs. O wore a Rachel Roy Runway to Green Stencil skirt, also confirmed by the designer via Twitter.

Well, here she is looking hot-hot-hot ! in a suit. So much depends on the suit. And this one is no box. I've always maintained that the right suit can make a man. Same seems to apply to women.
The tailoring in the cream dress and jacket is exquisite, the fit is perfect - a wonderful choice.
What a lovely lady! Both outfits are very stunning, but the jacket dress is Wow! God bless Mrs. Obama, God bless our First family and God bless the United States of America...Obama 2012!

The dress she wore while showing the ladies around the White House reminded me of some of the Zac Posen dresses in the Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The detail around the hem caught my eye--anyone else think so?

@ Parker & auni, you guys called it! I would've pegged this dress as a Rachel Roy and I just knew that the skirt was going to be Etro.....WRONG!
I saw Zac Posen's designs on style.com and this is look #1. There are a few that our Michelle would just shine in, I hope that we see them in the future. I like this dress better without the jacket. The details and the construction is immaculate.
The Rachel Roy skirt has earned a place on my all time favorite list. I think she's probably our Michelle's favorite designer.

LOVE this suit! I love the "folding" around the neckline of the dress, that's such a modern feature. I love the jacket and the shoes are great too!

General Fogh Rasmussen is a very familiar face to me having followed the Danish Royal family for many years. It's nice to see him again. I am simply loving the skirt Mrs Obama is wearing to disembark the plane. I want it!
