St. Patrick's Day at the White House

First Lady Mrs. O was joined by Fionnuala Kenny, wife of Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny, for a St. Patrick’s Day reception in the East Room of the White House on Tuesday. For the occassion, Mrs. O wore a minty green check dress with a beaded belt at the waist. Festive!

Update: The First Lady wears a Spring 2012 dress by designer Lyn Devon, seen here.

i think its the same jeweled vintage House of Lavande belt seen 3days ago. The dress looks like a tea towel though :-)

LOL @ winnie jeans. I think it's cute(probably because I like plaid and checkered patterns).

I was going to say I think it's the belt that she wore on the Jay Leno show. Is it that the same belt you're talking about winnie?

Mrs O does it again. Her dress is just so fresh and that lovely lime/lemon weave - Fabulous fabric.
You wait and see, it will be top fashion for your next summer season.

Rosemary Robertson - Fan of Mrs. Obama and she is much admired in New Zealand where I live.

Saw this picture of FLOTus on the obama diary and wondered when I would see this on Mrs O website. Love this colour and the plaid. Just wondered , just how many women are able to wear such simply lines and look like a millionaire.

The First Lady looks elegant and beautiful in this light and impeccable dress. The designer LYN DEVON is a wonderful choice for a GREAT LADY-Michelle Obama.

Lovely happy picture!

I think it's so cute to see people make the effort to wear green on St. Patricks day. It's funny I never did it when I lived in Ireland and when I first moved to the US I thought it was bizarre, but now I love it!

That dress looks like spring--love the freshness. Did you see the beautiful Waterford bowl of shamrocks and halobore that was presented to President Obama from the PM?

I think I saw enough of the belt in other pictures to say it is the House of Lavande belt from Out and About posted on the 19th.

Mrs. Obama always looks her best with her hair down. Her make-up is so pretty!

I'm a fan of seersucker and this looks like seersucker to me!
This is such a lovely shade of green on FLOTUS. I've never heard of Lyn Devon before but I like her designs. Take a look on style.com and see if look #17 seems familiar. I think it's what our Michelle wore on Feb 14th's Let's Move Day Two.
