Let's Move Tour 2012 - Day Two

Friday was a jam packed day for the First Lady, who continued her "Let's Move!" tour with stops in Texas and Florida. Mrs. O met with children from Nancy Moseley Elementary School and members of Bravo's series "Top Chef" at Kleberg Rylie Recreation Center in Dallas, Texas to promote healthy school lunches. Next it was on to Homestead, Florida, where Mrs. O spoke at a town hall on healthy families at Homestead YMCA Family Center.

On the style front: Mrs. O started her day in cheery brights, pairing a red scoop neck top with a blue pencil skirt and thin white belt. In Florida, Mrs. O changed into a plum wrap dress, gathered and tied at the waist.

"Helpings of Energy and Cheer for the Trail" [New York Times]

Update: Mrs. O wears a Rachel Roy Black Dahlia Ultra Suede Wrap Dress, available here. A statement necklace of colored glass beads and Swarovski crystals by Miriam Haskell completed the look.

Not that blue may be but she is lovely (can I write "lovely" ?) anyway!
She's like nobody, she's herself an intelligent, strong, smiling woman. With rational anger, that's being human. Even if I'm not american, 4 more years please.

I love it when I log in to check out her latest outfits, and a certain look just hits me in the face and elicits a smile and a slight gasp. These two outfits do just that. The top one because of the fiery colors, and the bottom one just because the color, style, jewelry are perfect, and well, she just looks so comfortable and chic in it.

Love the plum color, the suede?-like surface texture, and the side-tie skirt; not so sure about the sleeves & neckline but can't see a lot in that photo...

I'm stil undecided on the plum coloured dress, I'd have to see it close up to truly comment but I love the blue skirt/orange top ensemble - it fits her like a glove.

This is a very beautiful dress which Mrs. O wears. I'd say its the Rachel Roy dress seen here:

I like both of these outfits, but I love the top picture. There is a little video of the event with the kids at www.theobamadiary.com.

I love this plum dress because it's the classic wrap dress, and yet it has a lot of "forgiving" aspects to it (for those of us who don't have the, um, "perfect" waistline). The skirt and top sort of do require a better waistline than what I have, but the First Lady has a better waistline, so it looks good on her.

I think every single outfit Mrs O. has worn on her "fitness tour" has been absolutely
fabulous with the notable exception of the blue skirt and red top. Just too "out there." The plum Rachel Roy, the navy dress, the Disney World outift, are all top notch. My favorite is the black and red print dress worn when she returned to the White House. I LOVE it! Is that not the same dress I drooled over when Barbara Walters interviewed the First Couple just before Christmas? Who is the designer? It is just a beautifully designed dress with an elegant print.
