Checks and Balances

Earlier today, the first lady traveled to Reno, Nevada to speak to grass roots supporters at the University of Nevada, Reno. For the appearance, Mrs. O wore a Tracy Reese Combo Frock in Black and Parchment Gingham, available here, paired with her signature Alaia belt.

I know I'm in the minority, but I just don't like how she wears so much sleeveless. I think it's tacky.
I love this look although I'd love to see the full length but (wow!) look at the definition in Mrs Obama's arm !!
MJ, if you have "it" FLAUNT it! Or you could simply close you eyes that way you dont have to see anything.
Pray tell me..................what exactly is tacky about wearing sleeveless? People only find that to be so when they do not own a pair of arms like Michelle. If you have it and you are comfortable......flaunt it. She looks great and she has the right to "bare arms". GO MICHELLE!!!!!!
Like this outfit; I think she wore it in London at the Olympics--with a jacket/sweater? I wish I had Michelle's arms . . . then I would bare them as well. Speaking to grassroot supporters at a university . . . doesn't appear to be tacky to me. More like common sense for Nevada weather and approachable for her audience. "To each his own" (as granny always said).
Well, I see people in the crowd who are sleeveless and short sleeved. Nothing tacky about a beautiful, educated, professional and healthy woman who chooses to wear nice clothes to show off her 5am workouts.
I truly believed that FLOTUS wears clothes that fits her personality and what the President himself, likes to see her in. I know that she's the FLOTUS, but did her critics ever think that maybe she wears things that keep his eyes focused on her. So maybe, the sleeveless dresses, blouse are because he likes the fact that she's toned. Maybe she wears form fitting clothes because he likes her figure, and that turns him on, to see her dress in such a manner. As long as her husband keeps his eyes on Michelle, than what's the problem? All the other Presidents didn't look at their wives , or openly flirt, check out, say funny flirtatious things about their wives like President does, Maybe if they did, than their husbands wouldn't have been caught up in scandal. She knows what he likes and what turns him on. it ain't about being FLOTUS, it's about keeping her man excited by her.I've noticed the way President Obama is with FLOTUS, and he loves it , than i like it.
@ Auntie Mom, I thought that dress was a repeat, just wasn't sure. I can tell you one thing, our Michelle sure gets her money"s worth with her belts, especially this one. This is a staple in her wardrobe that I never get tired of seeing.
This is a good look for FLOTUS.
I bought this dress from the Tracey Reese site after I saw Mrs. Obama wearing it at the olympics. I also bought the replica of her convention dress that was offered in a different color....go to traceyreese.com
The phrase "if you have it, flaunt it" is so irrelevant. While I have no problem with sleeveless, does it mean that if you have a great pair of toned legs, you would be constantly wearing shorts. I think what the writers above are alluding to is the appropriateness of the sleeveless. But please don't justify by saying "if you have it, flaunt it. Mind you, I have absolutely no issue with Mrs. Obama's sleeveless choices. We were all oriented differently.
Again I say what is so "tacky" about wearing a sleeveless dress to an outdoor event that clearly it is warm or hot? If she feels her arms are to be bared...then she clearly has great arms to expose.
