Cats, Hats and Two First Ladies

It was more Dr. Seuss for Mrs. O today, as the First Lady visited Oyster-Adams Bilingual Elementary School in Washington, D.C. and read "A Cat in the Hat" to young students. Joining Mrs. O was Margarita Zavala, the First Lady of Mexico, who read "The Whale Song" in Spanish. The event was part of the First Lady's continued support of Read Across America.
On the fashion front, Mrs. O turned to a looser shilouette than we often see her wear, donning a mixed print dress paired with black suede boots. P.S. Thanks to readers Steven and Jermaine, who identified this dress as Sophie Theallet Fall 2010, seen here.

I love what Mrs. O is wearing today, very stylish and relaxed at the same time. She looks great.
Fabulous! fabulous! Fabulous! Both these First Ladies and the kids, of course, shine.
Can you dig it? Yes, I can. I really like this dress!
Now that's a relaxed reading look worth liking!
Mrs.O looks amazing in Sophie Theallet http://www.style.com/fashionshows/review/F2010RTW-STHEALLET
Mrs. T, it's look #1 from Sophie Theallet A/W 2010-11
I just googled that dress to get a better look and I love it!! Very flowy but still has shape - I'm sure it's sold out and I probably can't afford it but I would wear that for sure! Mrs. O looked fabulous in it!
I agree with Nora. A relaxed, yet fashionable and flattering look for a reading. The boots look good with this particular dress....very gypsylike ensemble.
That's such a pretty relaxed dress that also looks fantastic. Nicely done Mrs O.
Can anyone tell me if those are the Inaugration braclets that Michelle is wearing? I am digging her comfy yet elegant look
I like this dress and boots combo. This is something I'd wear to dinner party or out to dinner with the girls. Love it! Chic but casual at the same time.
I am swooning over our Michelle's suede boots! This has a kinda Bohemian look to it that suits her well, especially in this setting. Both of these First Ladies seem to really take out time for children. These will be very endearing memories that these kids will cherish for life.
Mrs. Z looks so much more modern than her last visit. Really sharp.
I agree with all other posters. I love this look. Femininty without fuss.
I am trying for some time to find out WHAT BRAND BOOTS is she wearing? She has them in several colors an I just love them!
Could anyone help,please :)
I love her look!
Suede over-the-knee flat boots are Robert Clergerie, made in France. I believe these are the ones she is wearing, although we read some months ago that hers were custom made - perhaps because of her height?

Fellow "Lady O's" .... help me out here ! I'm totally confused ... the photos I see here are not what I see on the Wash Post site for the event .... <http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/03/02/AR2011030206305.html> .... at least, I don't think so ... Mrs. O is wearing a totally different outfit ... have I had one too many cups of cofee? Or one too few? ????
@BookWorm, there were two Dr. Seuss related events this week.
Guys, did you notice how's everybody bored in the background of the second pic? That should've been a boring speech.
Btw, Mrs. O is fabulous as always!
