High Five, Bo

First Lady Mrs. O paid a visit to the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. today, joined by Malia and Sasha Obama, and of course, Bo!

Per the Washington Post:

"First lady Michelle Obama, daughters Sasha and Malia and Bo -- that celebrity hound -- paid a Christmas season visit to young patients at Children's National Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon. Continuing a tradition begun by Bess Truman for spreading holiday cheer, the first lady greeted patients, thanked hospital staff for their work and read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' to about 50 children along with their parents and caregivers."

For his holiday appearance, Bo sported a red and white furry collar, adorned with jingle bells. Mrs. O added a bit of sparkle to her top, pairing a red v-neck with her diamond Garavelli brooch.

How wonderful is that!! Bo is the cutest dog ever and Sasha and Malia have so much presence and maturity beyond their years. They are enjoying being first daughters!!! Love the Obama family!

Adorable. This V-neck is kind of unique in that it has a sort of wrapping drapery at the neckline. The broach is also so cute and obviously versatile. Mrs.T., please post this Politico.com video of Mrs.O and the girls reading and taking questions. It's just too cute to pass up!

The Obama girls looked great at the event...and i couldn't help but notice just how much Malia was picking up her mother's style.

Getty has a few good shots of this sweater. It does drape across the front, and then it closes with a long row of tiny buttons down her left side. I'm hoping Mrs. T can determine who designed it. It's very unique - very MO.

That dog is ADORABLE!

Ok, she is doing a great job with those kids. Such confident young ladies! That's a legacy she can really be proud of.

Love the rasberry red color on her and the way she mixes up that brooch so many different ways is fantastic!

Bo is too cute. I love the way he high fives. The Obama girls seem very sweet and very grounded. They both read very well like their mother. I love the class and fun that the Obama's have brought to the White House.

What a cute picture of Malia and Bo -- she is quite a stylish young lady, isn't she? I like the layered look. It's youthful without looking babyish, but it's also not inappropriately "grown" for a kid.

I love it that they brought the dog. What a great touch! Though dinosaur dial-up prevents me from watching videos, I am altogether impressed by photos of the daughters on this occasion (and prior to, for that matter). They are cutie-pies, for sure, but they possess a maturity and comeliness that far surpasses their actual years. Good parenting, good genes, great girls.

Beautiful top. Colour is great on Mrs.O.

Glowing First Lady - a total picture of health.

Whatever excercises or diet she's on - it's working.

Her hair looks healthy - great style. Seems easy to manage.

Obama family departing White House for Hawaii

Several other photos on getty. This photo shows Mrs O's full length unobstucted view - love the entire outfit especially the boots. Malia and Sasha are also very stylish. Like the photo with Sasha's joyful self breaking through. Malia has had some gorgeous pics recently including these. Besides their outer beauty, appreciate even more how grounded and unspoiled they appear to be. As JMH said above..."good parenting...great girls."

Best wishes to all for a blessed, joyful Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!!

These are such heart warming pictures and the video footage is sweet as ever. That Bo is just as adorable as can be. Our Michelle looks just as good in formal gowns as she does in casual wear. That sweater is sharp and I think it's Anne Klein. If you look on Anne Klein website you'll see the dress just like it in black, same crossover detail with buttons going down the side. Also, when I was shopping I saw one at Saks by Anne Klein, only this sweater was charcoal grey. Fabulous pictures, fabulous family!

Cute!

Although.... would it be awkward of me to say that the top looks more like a wrap-over, not a V-neck?
