First Floral

The first lady spoke to Obama campaign supporters at Broward College in Davie, Florida today. For the appearance, Mrs. O wore a royal blue, grey and black floral print dress accessorized with an Erickson Beamon floral pin at the neck. Remember the pin from the 2008 convention? Slingback pumps completed the look.

Is everyone excited for the final debate tonight?

Update: Good work reader nja, who identified the dress as Jones New York, available here.

Fashion Friday

The first lady continues to campaign for early voting, speaking to Obama supporters during a campaign rally in Racine, Wisconsin yesterday. For the appearance, Mrs. O debuted a full-skirted tribal print dress in a mix of neutrals.

Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend!

Update: Thanks to reader Linda, who spotted the dress as BCBG. Indeed, Mrs. O wears the BCBGMAXAZRIA Breona Geometric Jacquard Dress, available here. Reader Akisa observes that Mrs. O's dress includes an extra panel at the hem for length.

Power Pink

The first lady was seated in the audience of tonight's second presidential debate. For the occasion, Mrs. O wore a bold pink dress and matching jacket accessorized with a single strand of pearls. Of note, both Mrs. Obama and Mrs. Romney wore similarly hued pink dresses described as "pepto-pink" and "bubblegum" in initial reactions on Twitter. It seems likely that the women chose the hue in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

WWD consulted with Leatrice Eiseman of the Pantone Color Institute for more perspective on the color. Eiseman's take? “It is a true shocking pink. It is right on the mark. If you look at it from a historical perspective, it would be a Schiaparelli pink."

Update: Mrs. O wears a neon boucle crepe princess seamed sheath dress and jacket by Michael Kors. For those curious, Ann Romney wore a short-sleeve dress by Oscar de la Renta.
