Print and Patent

The first lady spoke at a campaign rally at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina today, where she encouraged students to vote early. For the occasion, Mrs. O wore a printed sheath dress, belted at the waist and paired with patent pumps.

Update: Mrs. O wears a dress (her second!) from the Miss Wu collection.

This is a great, classy look! Simple yet striking. Any ideas on the designer?

I agree, this dress is fantastic. The print, the cut and the way it looks on Mrs. O is terrific. I am wondering who the designer is? Fabulous!

I love those shoes! I've loved black patent leather shoes since I was a little girl; I'm purchasing a new pair again this fall! The dress is lovely also; the print reminds me of peacock feathers, without the plumes.

I love this dress and it's the perfect cut for her!

@ SoccerNana, I thought the same thing! It does look like peacock feathers. I must admit that I'm surprised that our Michelle played it safe with a navy belt and black shoes. I guess I've come to expect (and love) how she mixes it up and gives us a punch of unexpected color. Nonetheless, I likey!
