Here you notice she has on the same pair of Miriam Haskell earrings from the other day: http://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/first-lady-michelle-obama-particpates-in-an-awards-ceremony-news-photo/168303892
Here's the video to the event. Mrs Obama is just so lovely, warm and so down to earth. She hugged ever single honoree/success story beneficiary. There was a lady who's originally from Mexico and now teaches English as a second language. Her efforts in teaching her students helped save the life of an immigrant mother who was able to call 911 and thanks to her ESL class at her local library, remembered the english word "fire"-- Mrs Obama was so touched and gave the woman a few extra special Mrs O hugs. It was all so heartwarming and lovely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gb-bOVrCSfIMrs Obama honors libraries.
I always loved this dress!!! The drape at the neckline. So simple and yet so elegant!!! I love her bangs too!!! And I love them long too!!! I find them incredibly sexy on Mrs Obama and they ever so subtly touch her eyelids highlighting her very sweet, innocent and beautiful eyes!!!

Pretty in Roksanda!
Good to see this simple, elegant dress again, but those bangs are out of control!
Always regal in purple!
