City Style
The President and First Lady were in New York City yesterday, where they visited the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's World Trade Center site, followed by a series of campaign fundraisers, including a dinner co-hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Wintour. Can you imagine all of that style under one roof?
The above photos show the President and First Lady coming and going as they arrived in NYC and returned to Washington. To begin the day's events, Mrs. O wore a floral DVF wrap dress paired with a pink cardigan and yellow flats. For the evening, Mrs. O chose a navy cocktail dress paired with a sparkly wide belt from New York Vintage and a cropped cardigan. Gold and turquoise jewelry completed the look.

That first picture is great. It's always cool to see how much the Obamas really like each other.
I love the fit of the dress! Whose the purse by?
The DVF looks like a repeat http://mrs-o.com/newdata/2010/4/14/spring-floral.html , but what happened to the sleeves? Are they are shoved up under the cardigan or did the FLOTUS have the dress altered to be sleeveless? Either way, it's a fresh summery look.
Stunningly gorgeous - both of them!
Wow! Jewelry is calling me...who designed the cuff
She is wearing in second photo. Oh the glamour!
"Flower power" is just ok but I love the navy cocktail dress, "c'est chic !". But it is too much accessorized : ah, large belt again, and too many "bling-bling"-like jewellery !!! Maybe smaller purses would look less awkward. Flats are fine, I long to see her wearing 10-12 cm heels sometimes... Yes, you can Mrs. O !
They are both so stunning together, sometimes they take my breath away. When Mrs. O glams it up, she is just gorgeous and our Prez is always so dashing. And no, I can't imagine ALL that glamour and style at SJP's home in NYC. Wish I could have been there! Please please please, every fan of this blog, get involved in this campaign...talk to your neighbors and friends. We need four more years of this President and our First Lady's style!
LOVE the flower dress
Both dresses are nice but I'm not a fan of the wide belt, I think it spoils the look of what would otherwise be a timeless statement look. I need that bag though!
Nice pics i liked the First lady michelle obama book, it's very good!
The love between the President and Mrs. Obama….what a beautiful thing!
Peace.
Beautiful black dress! Who's the designer? What's the fabrication & where can one purchase the dress?
I can always count on the Obamas for my weekly dose of 'romance observing '. It's inspiring to know that the stress of their day jobs hasn't come between their love.
...and to fashion: She looks fabulous in the floral dress.
