Bold Shoulder

The President and First Lady are hosting a White House ceremony to present the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Israeli President Shimon Peres this evening. The medal is the highest civilian honor in the United States.
For the occasion, Mrs. O wears a black one shoulder gown with pleated detailing through the bodice and skirt. A gold belt accents the waist, while pointed toe heels and statement earrings complete the look. Stunning!
Update #1: Mrs. O wears House of Lavande Vintage Black & Gold Drop Earrings. (No word just yet on that gorgeous gown!) Update #2: Mrs. O wears a Michael Kors black georgette pleated one shoulder gown. Update #3: Mrs. O wears a vintage Dior belt from New York Vintage.

This might be one of my all time favs. Very Jackie Kennedy but of course Mrs. O adds her own special flair with the gold chain belt. Fabulous. They are just gorgeous!

Just when I think I have seen the best and the best just possibly can't get any better! I soooo love this gown and shoe and hair and belt and everything! I know the President and everyone in the room must be so proud of our beautiful (inside and out!) First Lady. Absolutely stunning and beautiful!!! I'm swooning over the pleating details.

Our first lady is radiant, elegant and beautiful in this dress! It wasn't until I copied and enlarged the photo that I was able to see the pleating on the bodice. I am dying to see more photos of her in this gown. I hope some of the ladies here will share some links to other photos as they often do. So far, this is the only one I've seen.

I really love the belt, and that length hair, but I notice that the dress is covering her right shoulder. I cannot think when I have ever seen one of these "goddess" (or whatever a one-shoulder is called?) designs covering the RIGHT shoulder? it makes it uniquely Mrs.O, eh? 8-) (Of course, just because I can't remember other covered right shoulders certainly doesn't mean they're not out there!)
