Women of Courage

The First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared at the State Department today to mark International Women's Day. There they presented the International Women of Courage awards to 10 women from around the world who have shown exceptional courage and leadership in advocating for women’s rights and empowerment.

On the style front, Mrs. O wore a cream jacquard dress by L'Wren Scott embellished with a statement brooch of glass beads and pearls by Miriam Haskell. Secretary of State Clinton was simple and chic in a black ensemble.

Update: Later Thursday evening, the President and First Lady hosted campaign contest winners at a dinner in Washington, DC. For the event, Mrs. O wore a Tracy Reese dress, last seen in London, here.

Mrs. O. looks fabulous! I admire Hillary Clinton tremendously, but I am very much hoping that she will cut her hair. She looked so much better with shorter hair, and that style is just not flattering for us "older" women. Clinton 2016!

Lovely dress! The First Lady looks wonderful. The dress is a repeat - it is by L'Wren Scott. Beautiful!

These women are exceptional women for their achievements and not only for their husbands' successes and I admire that a lot. Mrs O always stand a head above the crowd as always, beautiful.

This was such a wonderful occasion to have these two women together. I wish I could have been there to just see all of these amazing women being honored. Mrs O looks lovely. I love this white brocade dress. The Secretary of State seems to be beaming with joy. Their remarks recognized each as the influentioal role models they are.

Lovely dress. Is it L'Wren Scott? The brocade reminds me of the dress worn for the Evening Soiree March 23 2011 in San Salvador

Amen Alma.

The First Lady and Secretary of State Clinton both look great.

I feel SOS Clinton has reached a state of grace and peace in her life. She really seems to look happy and comfortable in her own skin. I personally like her longer hair.
Thank you Secretary Clinton for your service to America.
May God bless you and your family.

Our First Lady looks absolutely radiant in that cream jacquard dress.
Compliments to designer L’Wren Scott.

Being a “pearl girl” myself, I love the Miriam Haskell glass bead and pearl brooch.

Peace.

Mrs. T there are more pictures of First Lady Michelle Obama that have appeared in the past few days. She looks great in her outfits. One of them is a repeat from she and President Obama's visit to England in May 2011. Just thought you'd like to know. :)

This is a picture of FLOTUS at an elementary school in Concord, NH.

It's great to see both women together, so comfortable in their own skin. Is that pin new? I really like that one! The tracey Reese dress looks just as crisp as when she wore it before. The pearls are a nice touch. I just love how our Michelle seems to enjoy whatever company that she's in. That really is a gift that not everyone has. Four more years of this will still not be enough!

Ms. O looks fabulous as usual and its refreshing and nice (for the lack of a better word) to see Hillary well put together!
Both of them are smart and stylish and this is the best way to celebrate ourselves.

The dress is a repeat I think From October 2010 on tour with Jill Biden. The pin and the compliment of the pearls have made it so much better!
