O Christmas Tree

The first lady, joined by her daughters, received the official White House Christmas tree, a 19-foot Fraser Fir from Jefferson, North Carolina on the North Portico of the White House yesterday. On the style front, Mrs. O paired a black cardigan (belted, naturally!) with a full, red floral skirt and tall black suede boots. Festive!

I love their outfits. I especially love Mrs. O's boots. I want those boots, the sweater, the belt and the skirt. I also love Sasha's polka dot tights and Malia's big pleat skirt. I buy all my clothes in second had shops and I've been having more fun since I've been following Mrs. O's fashion. Her message is whatever you wear, make it your own. I love my President and First Family :)

Gorgeous family. Their color palettes suggest & create joy. What fun this will be, four more years of watching the whole family grow together.

Overlapping colors in the three outfits. Coincidence?

OAN: Bo is adorable as well.

Michelle's outfit is gorgeous; the skirt, boots, black sweater, pin, all look so nice together-- BUT alas, once again that BELT, and the bunchiness it creates underneath, is so disappointing. Suggest she give the "deep-6" to all wide stiff belts that sit right below the bust.

The belt! Terrible! Why is she so clueless about
these belts she keeps on wearing? Really
not flattering.

I love the shoes on all 3 Obama ladies! Mahlia's boots are classics. Can any of our knowledgeable readers identify the source?

I love the color palette and the polka dot tights! Oh well (sigh), the way too wide belts I will just have to close my eyes to them. First Lady you still ROCK:)

Mrs. T., I'm so glad we'll have four more years to look forward to your blog! I love this time of the year when we get to see a little more of the Obama girls as they are with their father for the pardoning of the Thanksgiving turkey and with their mother to receive the White House Christmas tree. I am particularly impressed with Sasha's fashion choices! She seems to have her mother's gift of matching different prints so well!

Oh Lord, this belt is killing me. It's huge and kills her outfit. The girls look great.

@Ann50: I'm with you on the high-wide belt thing. (It doesn't seem to "accentuate" a woman who has the natural gifts of height and leggy-ness.)
Otherwise, the Obama lady and young ladies look great. 1st Prize goes to Malia. Classic with a touch of urban cool.

This site can be a get intimidating if one does not really love a Mrs.
Obama outfit. I feel like I first must say how much I love her, (and I really do); but this outfit is just terrible to me. The belt is too high (as usual) but also too tight. The skirt is actually a nice enough print, but with the outfit as a whole it looks both bulky and frumpy. This outfit does not fall well on her and overall is just a miss. I do love the boots.

They all look fabulous!!! It's refreshing to see young ladies wearing clothing that is age appropriate. Flotus is such a great model:))

The Obama ladies look LOVELY!!
Who was that talking about fashion fatigue where Mrs. O was concerned? Well, I can't tell! A knock off dress inspired by Michelle sold out in 48 hours. Read here: http://shine.yahoo.com/fashion/knockoff-michelle-obama-election-night-dress-sells-2-183500132.html

I like Mrs.O's style, very much! It's the only thing I like about the Obamas!Pitty, she now uses my tax money to buy herself pretty dresses!!!

@primavyara - Please don't flatter yourself. The Obama's are multi-millionaires (do some research on their net worth) they don't need his presidential salary - he probably donates it or invests it.

Where are malia's boots from??

Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 8:54 AM | Unregistered Commenternina

Oh primavyara, guess all those exclamation marks did not help your comment one bit huh?

Can we talk about Malia's boots? LOVE. I hope she starts dressing all hipster/glam. Love, love, love.

I really love those boots. She's been wearing them since the 2008 campaign and I wish I knew who they were by.

The Festive Obamas!

Friday, November 30, 2012 at 1:00 PM | Registered CommenterCharlene in Detroit

Love FLOTUS' style, but...... Oh, please loose the belt. She has a classic womanly figure, real curves and beautiful arms, but why oh why must we see the belted cardigans at every turn? It accentuates her hips more and makes her top half look disproportionate as she has a smaller bust. If one MUST be worn, maybe a skinny belt would be better? Sorry FLOTUS fans! Love her. But not this belted look I'm afraid.
The girls - or should I say young ladies - look lovely x

I LOVE that skirt. So festive! Mrs. O looks lovely and Sasha and Malia also. But.. Those wide belts worn just below her breasts ars so unflattering on her body. Otherwise she is stunning as slways.

Love her style; while the belt is not my favorite, it is HER style love it or leave it. I love it all!!!
