Toys for Tots

Photo by Evan Vucci / AP Images

The First Lady visited a Toys for Tots event at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington today, delivering toys donated by staffers from the Executive Office. On the fashion front, Mrs. O looked festive in a plaid top paired with slim black pants.

CUTE SHIRT!!

Love the shirt. I read an article that a young Marine from Maryland asked FLOTUS out to the Marine ball I hope she goes that would be epic. I love the tuck hairstyle.

Festive shirt... not a fan of her hair.

Not crazy about plaid, but this works with what FLOTUS is doing. As for her hair, I have noticed that most times that Mrs.O appears with the miliary, she wears very conservative hairstyles and earrings. I think that it's in deference to the strict dress code regulations that the military, especially the women, have to adhere to.

I like this hairstyle for her here. She always looks fabulous and fit, but I also think that this style makes her look even younger.

I love how Mrs. O plays with fashion especially with this plaid LOVE MOSCHINO top (which she has worn before).

Love the First Lady's casual outfits--but not this one. Plaids are fine, just not this one. Love the hair though. As my sister often comments, "A 'Sista' needs a few 'hair[style]-off' days every now and again." ...I couldn't agree more. Give the stresses of constantly maintaining the tresses a rest.

Our First Lady is so unique. She gave the Marine a hug after he asked her to accompany him to the Marine Ball. She is such a warm, personable person. I LUV my First Lady and President. God bless our First Family!

Agree with @isonprize. She looks lovely as always and very work-like with her hair in that style. Kudos to the young man who made the request. Imagine wanting a date with a married woman whose husband just happens to be POTUS. Gutsy guy!

@Charmzee, when have we seen Mrs. O in this blouse before? It's similar to the Love Moschino blouse the First Lady wore for holiday events in 2010, but I don't believe it's the same. Am I mistaken?

I love Mrs. O. I respect that she is tall, and wears clothes that accent her height and figure. I love everything she wears.

I would love to see Mrs O's hairstyle from the back! I have been a lurker on this site from the beginning. I want to thank you for the the wonderful new advertisers. I have discovered many classy and affordable on-line " new to me" shops.

She looks demure and understated here. Which is good. Bring more attention to the event, not her wardrobe. And i like her nair. Simple by her standards, but something about the side part and pulled back hair that looks sophisticated here.

I think this plaid shirt is similar to the one she wore when greeting the arrival of the Christmas tree in 2009, I may be wrong. I love plaid, it sums up Christmas for me. I'm not sure if the pattern is popular in the US but over here owing to our links with Scotland, plaid is always around especially at Christmas.

Mrs. T I love to go back and look at all the looks but I find I have to click page by page 5 posts at a time. Is there an archive of the months (and now years! lol)? I sometimes miss the J. Crew/Mario Pinto days :)

I found a picture of Mrs. O that caught my attention. I have never seen this picture before, but it is picture of Mrs. O in her Isabel Toledo's dress without the matching coat and sweater. The dress alone is very beautiful. Here is the link that displays the image of Mrs.o in the dress: http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/show/segments/view/michelle-obamas-style-secrets/

Rory, there's not an archive by month, but via the Index on the top right, you can search by designer.
