Mrs. O: The Face of Fashion Democracy
Throughout 2009, we've mentioned our upcoming Mrs. O book, and finally, we're delighted to share a bit more detail. Mrs. O: The Face of Fashion Democracy will look at the evolution of Mrs. O's style, featuring more than 120 photographs of the first lady; original, detailed photography of clothes and accessories worn by Mrs. O; as well as a series of designer and fashion expert interviews. The final chapter concludes with original artwork inspired by the first lady, accompanied by quotes from many of you (submitted through our "Contribute to the Mrs. O book" site feature earlier this spring).
We've created a seperate page on the top menu where we'll update the latest book developments. Today we've added a series of sample pages from the book as a sneak peek, seen here. The fabulous cover and interior design are the work of Rodrigo Corral and Ben Wiseman of Rodrigo Corral Design.
Mrs. O: The Face of Fashion Democracy will hit book stores in late October, but is available for pre-order on Amazon, here.

Mrs. T, I can't wait for this book. Thank you for starting this website and allowing us to follow the fashions of Michelle daily. You rock! I wish you much success in all of your endeavors.
I love that you chose a fashion sketch picture for the cover. You have a great eye for design.
Waiting with baited breath
I feel like a kid on her way to Charlie's chocolate factory - the suspense is killing me!
I am soooooo looking forward to having a copy of this book. Thank you Mrs.T for being so vigilant in all your posts and for always keeping us in the loop. I hope this book is the first of many more to come...Yeah!
Is that the cover? It's gorgeous! I love the iconic illustration, combined of course with the awesome new logo.
That is the cover! Whee!
How exciting! I can hardly wait!!
love the illustrations! I can not wait. Congrats!
I love the title "Mrs O the Face of Fashion Democracy" This book is going to fly off the shelves.
I adore the painting of Mrs. O and the design of the cover. Absolutely the best! I wish you tremendous success with your book, Mrs. T. Thanks very much for keeping us all in the know here, too.
Oh my, it looks amazing! I so cannot wait to get a copy :D
Beautiful cover...can't wait!
I have been viewing this site daily since earlier this year. This is my first comment and this book image has inspired me to do so. I think the cover is just amazing and can't wait to see the finished product! I love following the fashion of Mrs. O and thanks for providing the insight.
I told my husband I would divorce him if he didn't put it on pre-order immediately. And he has done so. Either that or he was surfing up information on divorce. Adds a little frisson to waiting for the book to show up, I can tell ya!
The perfect gift to give or receive for the holidays. Divine cover illustration - it's such a perfect representation of the happy go lucky Mrs. O! :)
The interior design is fabulous!
Thanks for this website...I get a lot of fashion ideas for myself. I don't want to be a slave to fashion but I don't want to look like a 99 year old grandmother either. I can adapt her styles for my own and add color and accessories to fit my figure and skin tone.
Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm soooooo excited about the book! How much is it going to cost? Will blog members get a discount? Are you donating the proceeds to one of Mrs. O's favorite charities? Can't wait!
BTW @ PoshTater, just curious but why do you have to ask your husband to order the book for you?
Because as has been well documented on this site I have been unemployed for four years and have no income or savings.
I just wonna ask Mrs. Os critics one question. 'where in the constitution of united states of america, is it written that first ladies should not wear shorts?' Give the obamas a break for crying out loud. leave them alone.
Congratulations, you've got a winning title and cover here. I am so looking forward to this book!
I'm thinking of pre-ordering copies for holiday presents and am wondering, will it be published in a coffee-table-style or regular hardbound book format? Any other details would be appreciated and I'll continue to monitor Mrs-O.org for more information.
Many thanks, Mrs. T!
The cover illustration is beautiful! I just hope that it wasn't adapted from anything on AP, or they'll go after you once they're done with Shephard Fairey...
