Mrs-O.com is a blog dedicated to chronicling the fashion and style of First Lady Michelle Obama. Founded September 2008.

A Fond Farewell

Dear Readers,

After much thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to end the Mrs. O blog. Over the past year, my personal and professional circumstances have changed such that I cannot devote the same time and attention to the blog that I once could. I continue to have the utmost admiration for Mrs. Obama - for her style and so much more.

From an idea sparked by Michelle Obama's presence at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, we grew into a vibrant, diverse community with a common interest. The information sharing and exchange of opinions over the past 5-1/2 years has been fun, inspiring, sometimes a bit controversial - but always in the spirit of good, open dialogue. Thank you all for your support and readership over the years.

Wishing you the very best,

Mrs. T

This Week in Mrs. O

On Wednesday, the First Lady hosted a screening of "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete," a film produced by Alicia Keys. For the occasion, Mrs. O wore an Alexis Bittar "Jardin mystere torsade" lucite necklace paired with a black silk blouse.

On Thursday, Mrs. O participated in an event on college opportunities at the Eisenhower Executive Office building. For the event, Mrs. O wore a navy dress with clean lines, cropped sleeves, and coordinating pumps.

Finally, for those in the Washington, D.C. area, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History is now displaying the First Lady's 2013 inaugural ball gown designed by Jason Wu in a special one-year loan from the White House. The gown is displayed in the museum's "The First Ladies" exhibit.

Have a happy weekend!

The President and First arrived at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Honolulu, Hawaii last Friday. The Obama family will spend their annual holiday vacation in Hawaii, returning to Washington on January 5.

Landing in Honolulu, Mrs. O wore a vibrant printed sundress paired with a cropped black cardigan. Gold hoops completed the warm weather look.

Update: Mrs. O wears the Taped Frock in Modern Camo by Tracy Reese, available here.
