Wish List Part II

Since we featured Mrs. O's St. Erasmus necklace yesterday, we thought it would be worth mentioning another favorite Mrs. O piece that's now available. J.Crew has reintroduced the Crystal Constellation cardigan, renamed the Shimmering Constellation cardigan, similar to the cardigan worn by First Lady Mrs. O in London last spring. The refresh has a friendlier price tag at $128, in exchange for a few less sequins (but still enough for sufficient sparkle). Available in Black and Heather Dusk, we wonder if we might see Mrs. O in this cardigan again?

Also, last night marked the season finale of one of our favorite shows this fall: The Rachel Zoe Project. And just when we thought we couldn't be a bigger fan, Rachel Zoe professed her love for the first lady in an interview (thanks stylishgurl for the link). Speaking with NBC, RZ said: "I'd love to dress Michelle Obama ... because I'm obsessed with her." We love everything about this, so it makes our wish list too!

Another highlight of the season finale was an appearance by Mr. Derek Blasberg of V Magazine. Derek contributed to our upcoming Mrs. O book, conducting and editing several of the featured interviews with fashion greats such as Andre Leon Talley, Michael Kors and Thakoon Panichgul. His contribution to the book was wonderful, as was his cameo last night. Hooray!

Mrs. T, thanks for the update on the cardigan. My preference is still for the first cardigan worn in London with the increased sequins--the original just looks more sophisticated to me. If I wanted to buy it, I would just save my money for a longer period for the extra sequins....quality is quality. To each his own though. Times are tough for most folks, and I don't blame J.Crew for lowering their price points on some items to get more sales going into the holiday season.

Also, Mrs. Obama is speaking live briefly at 2pm EST at www.HHS.gov/live....

Nordstrom has a very similar sweater available in white or black in the plus size department. I haven't checked the other departments for smaller sizes, but I'm sure they must carry it in those sizes as well. It's quite a bit less than $128.00.

New pics of Mrs. O on yahoo. There is not a full length shot, so I can't really see the outfit as a whole. Basically, the skirt is the standout in this outfit. And I love it. Of course I would because purple is my fav color, but i also like the pattern from what I can see.

This sweater is really nice and affordable too. But if this price is a little more than you wanted to pay for a sweater, then as Christen said, Nordstrom has one by Halogen and it costs $88. It comes in black as well as ivory. They have it available in Petites as well as Plus Size. If this is your style, I think you could get a lot of mileage out of either one. When I went online @ J.Crew it stated some sizes were not available, but Customer Service said that the individual stores may have your size in stock! HAPPY SHOPPING !!!

P.S. Just saw pics of FLOTUS on Yahoo @ Dept of Health & Human Services event erarlier today. She wore a black twin set w/ black & purple (or blue) printed skirt with pleats. She looks really nice!

I saw that sweater on Saturday at J. Crew and bought it because it is perfect for evenings
and holidays. Keep looking, ladies, you'll find one.

Love this sweater but I prefer to shop on sale. I am sure I will find a lookalike on sale somewhere. I always do, even if I find it on sale at $128. Regular price is not my style.

Nice cardi. The black should be slimming. However, be warned ladies, this look will not work on every body type.

I absolutely adore it. My only gripe is that J Crew are not based here in London. Although, if I'm honest with you I preferred the one she wore in London but a black one is more versatile and can be worn in the day or evenings. Kudos to Michelle. I bet J Crew is doing a roaring trade.

I am surprised nobody has mentioned that several of the Inauguration accessories are now available. Obviously there are Mrs. O's green gloves but I suspect the girls wore the mars red and purple/blue gloves as well in small. Also, Sasha's and Malia's coats are now available at crewcuts.

jestina you're in London??!! How cool, I'm just outside these days, but was a resident for twenty years. I WANT this cardigan, but that grey is too pale for me and I can't wear black near my face any more. Shell pink? Ivory? Teal??? Pleasey pleasy jcrew, do TEAL.

I saw this at a J. Crew store and told the sales associate that I was very excited because it looked similar to what Mrs. O wore in London. She told me that it is the updated and improved version -- in a lighter weight material (cotton wool blend vs. cashmere) and it has less sequins because the sequins on the side and inside of the arms on the original would catch on the sweater when you put your arms down.
